New Beginnings in May
In addition to our director-led and public tours, WAM will also offer special tours focusing on the individual Vienna Actionists, starting in May.
Every Sunday at 3 p.m., a different Vienna Actionist will be featured.
The first tour will be dedicated to Günter Brus. He was the only one of the four Vienna Actionists who exclusively worked with his own body and that of his wife, Anni Brus. Brus continuously pushed his own psychophysical limits in his work. With the “Zerreissprobe” in Munich in 1970, he concluded his time as an Actionist and subsequently focused on drawing and literature.
